The encoder is the eye of the motor, providing synchronization between motor and drive. Contamination of the optical disk or signal loss stops your machine even if the winding is intact. We calibrate faulty encoders to original values and refit them.
We clean the optical glass disk, check the light source (LED) and analyse signals (Sin/Cos, EnDat, SSI) with an oscilloscope. Where needed we replace the communication chip and reader eye and calibrate the encoder to original zero values. For resolver-based motors see our services.
